Liquid Gold

Our family has started the next step in our baby journey with the process of pumping our breast milk. The thought being that we can express milk and save/freeze it for when I start back to work in a few months...that way when Baby Jack is at Daycare (ohh yeah, I need to figure that out too...ok on the list for Monday) he can still get mommy's milk. Also, in the short term, it will allow Daddy to help feed Jack with all those late night feedings;)

Well - mommy always heard of "liquid gold" and how precious this milk is once expressed...well I didn't realize that term was so right on. I have been pumping for 2 days now and I swear the MOST I get is 2 oz at a time...usually it is just 1 oz. So in addition to the many normal feedings for Jack mommy is also trying to squeeze in 3-4 pumping sessions just to get one bottle at night for daddy....

How is this all going to work???? When do you get ahead and start freezing, etc??? I've read that you begin to produce more milk as the baby gets older, hope so or I may start scouring Ebay for mama's milk;) just kidding.

On a separate note - new photos of Baby Jack below....Don't forget to check out our Facebook page as well where we can post more than just a few pics.
