So as part of our family adventure/vacation - we took a day trip to Williamsburg, VA and Busch Gardens. I highly recommend it for folks with little kids (well any kids), as they have a separate Sesame Street area as well as different kiddie sections through the park. I was so happy Jack rode a ton of rides (even though they pretty much all scared him to death...he kept trying them) Bummer - I totally forgot my camera battery so I had to rely on my Blackberry phone...so hence the poor quality....but you can tell we all had fun!

We stopped in Oktoberfest/Germany for some yummy pretzels after the long day (sorry these are a little out of order - you can tell they are exhausted and been through the ringer)

Our Family Vacation to OBX

Well...not quite! Hurricane Irene slammed into the North Carolina coast so we had to cancel our vacation to OBX this year. We quickly found a Plan B and headed to Virginia Beach/Williamsburgh. We had a great time on our last minute adventures! Here are some shots from the week.

Bagels

Cheeeesssseeeee!

The kids LOVE bagels...I guess they get that from me. Doesn't hurt that the best bagel place in the world is across from the beach house at the ocean (Uber Bagels...uber yummy). These are just a few cute pics from a recent Bagel adventure;) Their favorite is bagel "with sprinkles" (aka an everything bagel)

Birthday Ice Cream!!! (w/Sunflower fields_

What Reid family birthday would be complete without a trip to Blooms Broom Dairy Farm for ice cream!! And this time of year, they have very cool sunflower fields, so it was a special treat - ice cream, outdoor fun and running through the sunflower fields as the sun sets....perfect end to Jack's 3rd birthday!

Happy Birthday John Finnian:) In 3-year-old fashion, Jack started the day with a little birthday baloon dancing in the kitchen:)

Then it was off to school with more balloons...but first we need to stop and pick out a cake Mom!
